January Threads – Vegan Fashion
Oh yes. It’s that time in Arizona. The time when oranges, grapefruits and lemons are abundant on every tree! With our stock pile we decided to make a morning juice of Grapefruits and Oranges. We combined them and put them in mason jars. Typically what we do is take 3-5 ounce glasses of it at one time throughout the day. It’s great for a zip of energy and to help your stomach and gut. This can keep pretty well for 3-5 days in a well sealed mason jar in the frig.
We all need a little digestion help! Your gut holds about 70-80% of your immune system. Odds are, if you are feeling so swell, your gut isn’t either. Bromelain in pineapple juice is fantastic for helping out your innards. I highly recommend you have a small glass in the AM, daily. Add a little maca to replace caffeine. Do note, however, pineapple juice is heavier in natural sugars…

Want to make a really delicious kale salad? Here’s a combo we keep coming back to. It’s fast easy and super tasty.
What you’ll need:
Sesame Seed Crackers (preferably raw)
Add a handful of the spring mix to a bowl. This helps cut the sharpness of the kale. If you’re cool with the kale – go for all kale! Massage your kale, this means rubbing it between your finger tips for about 15-20 seconds each leaf. This makes it much easier to chew, then add it to your bowl! Cut up an heirloom tomato and avocado and […]
Benefits of American Ginseng
American Ginseng has a lot of benefits! It’s a little milder than Panax Ginseng, but it offers many of the same benefits and gets the job done.
Wisconsin is famous for it’s American Ginseng and it’s actually highly valued. This is often prescribed for acute stress – for example, after a long illness. Native Americans have been known to use this root for nausea and/or vomiting. It was actually also used in their love potions!

OK. So lt me start with this, I am in L.O.V.E with Ellovi! When I got my jar – 2 things I noticed right off the bat… 1. It was WAY bigger than I thought it was going to be! This is a pretty big jar! And 2. It smells faaaaabulous. It has a light aroma, but it smells like you could eat it. In fact I was tempted to eat it. OK, so I tasted it – BUT HERE’S THE THING – you don’t want to put anything on your skin that you wouldn’t put in your mouth, […]
Get Back To Normal Again with Bilberry Tea!
Bilberries are amazing little berries! Native to Europe and Asia, these small, colorful shrubs produce blueish-gray berries – very closely resembling blueberries, and boy do they pack a punch!
The tea made from bilberries is one of the BEST known remedies for diarrhea and dysentery. It has this magical pigment in it that can inhibit bacteria growth, especially microorganisms in the intestinal tract. You can take this tea up to 4-5 times a day to get rid of a bout you are having, then drop back down to one a day after you […]

Cholesterol always has a dark shadow hanging around it. You hear, the word, you immediately think negative. However, cholesterol is a certain kind of fat which is actually important for cell membranes and other functions within the body.
