Aspartame Poisoning

Most people don’t realize how dangerous aspartame really is.  They go on day to day, with symptoms like weight gain, abdominal pain, headaches – this list is HUGE.  There are at least 100 symptoms of aspartame poisoning.  Most doctors really don’t have a clue… and with such a broad range of seemingly unrelated problems (many of these symptoms can be found in just one person) few doctors would suspect toxic poisoning from a food additive that the manufacturer and FDA swear is “safe”.
For a great majority of people who consume processed food, food additives are a large component of the menu and sadly, one with serious health effects. In the United States,  aspartame – an artificial low-calorie sweetener – has been used as a food additive as early as 1981 after it was approved for use in dry goods. It was approved again in the US in 1983 for carbonated drinks.  Now with more in more products on the shelves, many times they are quietly placed into a product you buy regularly, that you wouldn’t even suspect to contain an artificial sweetener.

Aspartame is basically a slow poison that starts to show in your body via numerous symptoms.  There are TONS of studies (go ahead, google it) on the negative effects of aspartame in your system.  Many people fear they have many different diseases, like lupus or fibromyalgia etc., when in fact it’s the body’s symptomatic response to being poisoned by aspartame.

MARKETING – Sadly, many people are fooled because something is labeled “Diet” or “Low-Calorie”.  Marketing leads you to believe these are weight loss foods, or calorie busting foods etc., just by switching out the sugar for aspartame.  I can’t tell you how many people we know that drink diet soda because they are trying to lose weight, or watching their weight.  We try to tell them you actually GAIN WEIGHT from these products, but they refuse to do their own research and just believe the marketing of the company they bought the product from (hello?  Don’t you think they are just telling you what you want to hear to buy the soda?)

Below is a gigantic list of COMMON symptoms seen with regular consumption of aspartame.

How it happens:

Methanol, from aspartame, is released in the small intestine when the methyl group of aspartame encounters the enzyme chymotrypsin (Stegink 1984, page 143). Free methanol begins to form in liquid aspartame-containing products at temperatures above 86 degrees F.. also within the human body.

The methanol is then converted to formaldehyde. The formaldehyde converts to formic acid, ant sting poison. Toxic formic acid is used as an activator to strip epoxy and urethane coatings. Imagine what it does to your tissues!

Phenylalanine and aspartic acid, 90% of aspartame, are amino acids normally used in synthesis of protoplasm when supplied by the foods we eat. But when unaccompanied by other amino acids we use [there are 20], they are neurotoxic.

That is why a warning for Phenylketonurics is found on EQUAL and other aspartame products. Phenylketenurics are 2% of the population with extreme sensitivity to this chemical unless it’s present in food. It gets you too, causing brain disorders and birth defects! Finally, the phenyalanine breaks down into DKP, a brain tumor agent.

Top 10 common products containing aspartame

Yogurt, diet soda, cereal, gum, flavored water, crisps (like air puffed chips), tabletop sweeteners, drink powders, cooking sauces any SUGAR FREE item.

TAKE YOURSELF OFF ASPARTAME

Try it for a week – see what happens!  Most people experience a SIGNIFICANT improvement of symptoms AND energy levels.  And most symptoms are known to completely halt, once you are off aspartame.  It really works like a slow scary poison and once you stop poisoning yourself, you get better!

CHECK ALL LABELS. If you are trying to get off aspartame, you need to read the labels of your products so you can be fully and cleanly off aspartame to see how much better you feel!
Let us know if you try getting off aspartame and how you feel!
